Luna was the operetta-zarzuela composer par excellence, but these extracts from a late collaboration with Bru show him returning to his musical roots in an unsophisticated sainete madrileño. The music is varied, charming and well put over by Argenta and his seasoned company, memorably so in the jaunty bagpipe dance towards the end of the piece. The transfer is rough, with patches of noticeable flutter. The coupling is a staple recommendation for Los de Aragón, and this will give even more pleasure.
